This blog chronicles my life as a wife, mom, dental hygienist, photographer, and smart aleck. I make my home in Washington State. My favorite things are laughing, eating good food, taking pictures, cake decorating, blogging, and serving dental missions in third world countries. I stick my foot in my mouth so often we'll go ahead and call that a favorite hobby, too. I like to think of my blog readers as friends I invite into my home. So welcome. Come on in.

What I'm Reading
So right now I am reading Ed Viesters' No Shortcuts to the Top. It's pretty good. I caught up with all of my photo editing and with a little downtime after my surgery I decided to start a new book. This is one of Dale's. He suggested it. Why not? I thought. I know nothing about mountain climbing...it's a chance to learn a little.
To say the least, Ed Viesters is pretty bad ass. He has climbed the world's fourteen tallest mountains, summited Everest six times, and Mt. Rainier over 200 times. Impressive! Inspiring! And he's a local. He lives on Bainbridge Island.
